Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau

Tu B’av and Yom Kippur are singled out by the sages as the most joyous and celebratory days for the Jewish people. Though Yom Kippur is more understandably joyful being the day the Jews were forgiven for their sin of the Golden Calf, what makes the 15th of Av distinctly joyous? In this insightful lecture, Chief Rabbi Yisroel Meir Lau beautifully explains the significance of this day as being one of forgiveness, family and unity.

This lecture was delivered at the 7th annual National Jewish Retreat. For more information and to register for the next retreat, visit: Jretreat.com.
