Dr. Kate Miriam Loewenthal
Kate Miriam Loewenthal was born in 1941 near London, England. She graduated in Psychology in 1963 from University College London, and received a PhD there in 1967. She is married to Dr Naftali Loewenthal and they have a large family. She has been associated with Chabad since 1969. Most of her academic career has been in the University of London. Her research focuses on mental health, religion and culture, particularly mental health in the Jewish community. She has published many articles,  several books, and is editor of the journal Mental Health, Religion and Culture. She is Emeritus Professor of Psychology in London University – Royal Holloway College, and also Professor of Abnormal Psychology at New York University in London.
