Leah (Valeria) Poltorak earned a MS in biophysics from Tbilisi State University, Georgia, FSU. She also completed her PhD coursework in molecular biology at the Moscow Institute of Virology.
After immigrating into the US in 1982, she worked for Rockefeller University. She works now as the Executive Vice President of Ryogen, a genomic company in Suffern, New York.
Leah and her husband Alex live in Monsey, New York. They have five children.
