Rabbi Moshe Herson

Born in Brazil, Rabbi Moshe Herson traveled as a young student to New York to study at the Central United Lubavitcher Yeshiva. Rabbi Herson was deeply influenced by the Lubavitcher Rebbe and decided to dedicate his life to Jewish education and the Rebbe’s world view.

In 1956 Rabbi Herson joined the staff of the Rabbinical College of Newark and in early 1970’s he tirelessly built one of the largest Chabad educational campuses, the Rabbinical College of America in Morristown, NJ and heralded the growth of over 50 Chabad synagogues and community centers in the state of New Jersey.

Soft-spoken and gentle, Rabbi Herson is a multi-faceted individual; Torah Scholar, Chassidic singer and Gifted orator he continues to influence young and old alike to dedicate their lives to spread the light of Torah and Chassidus.

Rabbi Herson’s family, children and grand-children are following in his path, spreading Torah and the light of Chassidus to the Jews of their respective communities.
