Mind and Soul

How is your soul today? Ask the question and you will get a blank stare.

Rabbi Sholom Lipskar explains that the mind / soul is a transcendent element that hovers in the brain. It does not have a biological presence, but has a neuronal connection that cannot be seen.

In elucidating the origin of intellect and its relation to the soul, Chabad Chassidism sheds new light on the mental processes and functioning of the physical brain, leading to a new understanding of dementia. Rabbi Lipskar cites Nobel Prize winner, Willfred Penfield, who describes the mind in Mysteries of the Mind.
