The most famous of all prayers of our people is the prayer, “Shema Yisroel — Hear O Israel . . . .” What does it mean to “hear”? This talk will focus on how, through the Shema, the Torah is advising us to strengthen our relationship with G-d and with our family. In an age of advanced technology, especially in the area of communication, have we perhaps lost the art of listening?
