The Rebbe Cares for All

Rabbi Leibel Groner

While many people can share their personal experience with the Rebbe, few were privy to a full understanding of the Rebbe's utter devotion to mankind as a whole. In this enlightening talk, Rabbi Leibel Groner, one of the Rebbe's secretaries, allows us a glimpse of "A Life in the Day of the Rebbe." We learn that the Rebbe worked 20 out of 24 hours a day, never took a vacation since becoming Rebbe, valued each minute at a year, and yet concluded each day with a strict accounting of what had been left undone, always demanding more of himself.

The Rebbe defined leadership, concerning himself not only with Chabad chassidim, not only with Jews, but with New York's Chinatown, an Hispanic teacher in the New York public school system, and ultimately, each and every person. How to best honor the Rebbe's lifework and mark the anniversary of his passing? By emulating the Rebbe's living example in always demanding more of ourselves, in utilizing every minute of every day to its fullest, and in feeling and demonstrating caring and concern for every human being. This will be the catalyst for the arrival of Mashiach, the central goal of the Rebbe's service.
