In Freudian theory, there’s the “id”, the dimension of one’s psyche that is totally unconscious and serves as the source of one’s instinctual impulses. In Torah, by contrast (lehavdil), there’s the “Neshomoh”, the soul, that spark of G-d that carries within it the essence of who we are and the potential to which we can aspire. Using a Chassidic perspective, this workshop will explore the dynamic of our sub-conscious and how it impacts our thoughts and actions.
