During the Passover Seder we read about the commandment to mention the Exodus from Egypt. Though it is acknowledged that this commandment applies throughout the year, not just on Passover, there was a dispute amongst the Sages as to whether it applied both during the day and night or only during the day When the Hagaddah tells us about this commandment it recounts the words of Elezar ben Azaryah, "I am like a man of 70 years old," expressing his dismay that he has not yet convinced his colleagues that the commandment applies during the night as well.
