The Changing Status: The how and when of Nidah throughout a woman’s lifecycles
Presented by Mrs. Sara Morosow

The laws of Taharas Hamishpachah touch upon the most powerful and personal parts of a couple's life.  To properly carry out this far-reaching responsibility, we need to know a wide array of various details.  For this reason, it's imperative that every woman (and her husband, too) reviews the details of these halachos.  In this session, Mrs. Sara Marasow addresses many of these particulars:
  • What is it that renders a woman niddah?  Mrs. Marosow explains the various ways this can happen, and defines the parameters of each one.
  • You need to ask the rav a question about a bedikah, what information should you have?
  • What questions must a woman ask her gynecologist in order to determine with the rav whether she is niddah?
  • Are there times when it is halachically acceptable for a women to use contraceptives?  What are the pros and cons of the methods allowed by halachah?
  • How must fertility procedures be performed in order to maintain halachic compliance?
  • What is the Rebbe's view on sonograms, induction, and having a husband coach his wife during labor, or be present during delivery?
  • If a woman miscarries, how does this impact on her niddah status and her calendar?
  • What is the definition of  mesulekes damim and its halachic implications?
To learn the answers, join us in this review session.  Paper and pen for taking notes is highly recommended!
