A Vision for Jerusalem

Jerusalem, one of the oldest cities in the world, can't seem to keep herself out of the headlines.  Whether it's an archeological discovery, BDS movement attempts a half a world away, or some contretemps between religious groups, Jerusalem still maintains her ancient status as the center of the world.

For 2,000 years she was under the rule of twelve different powers, none of which elevated her to the status of "capital city."  Only under Jewish sovereignty has she held that title.

Yet, there are those who seek to stop "expansion" in East Jerusalem.  What are the rights of the Arab and Muslim populations within the holy city?  How can the world best guarantee the protection of religious rights for all people in Israel?

Jerusalem Mayor, Nir Barkat, takes on these thorny issues and reveals that for his vision of the city's future, he looks backward.
