Yehoshua November

Yehoshua November is the author of God's Optimism, which won the MSR Poetry Book Award and was named a finalist for the L.A. Times Book Prize in Poetry, Autumn House Poetry Prize, and Tampa Review Prize for Poetry. His work has appeared in The Sun Magazine, Virginia Quarterly Review, Prairie Schooner, and on NPR's The Writer's Almanac.  His poems have also been featured in a number of Jewish publications including The Forward, Midstream, and MomentThe Jewish Week named November one of the 36 "Best and Brightest Innovators and Visionaries" under 36 years of age, adding,"November's poems are uncommonly good...[He] captures not only emotion but also those religious yearnings, questions and attempts to reach out to God that are largely unspoken." The winner of the Bernice Slote Award and the London School of Jewish Studies Poetry Contest, November teaches writing at Rutgers University and TouroCollege.
