Description

In Jewish life, the pursuit of happiness is not merely an inalienable right, it’s a Torah obligation! Is it not true that one is either happy or not? How then can happiness be mandated? This exciting workshop will provide a template for attaining joy – true joy – on a deep, profound and lasting level. It will also include practical meditations.

Shimona Tzukernik founded and directs Omek: a non-profit organization dedicated to in-depth transformational learning and living for Jewish women.  Omek offers classes, lectures, retreats and much more to women world-wide.  For more information about Omek, check out www.myomek.org.

This class was given at the National Jewish Retreat - a yearly event hosted by the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute.  The Retreat is a five day learning and discovery experience with world-class Torah lecturers which offers the opportunity to relax, reflect and refresh one’s spirit in a luxurious setting.  The 2010 National Jewish Retreat will be held August 17- 22 at the Hyatt Regency in Reston, Virginia.  For more information about the National Jewish Retreat and to register for this year’s Retreat, check out www.JRetreat.com.

I found this talk extremely useful and practical.
Shimona is able to explain complex concepts in a way that a simple person like myself can understand and embrace.

    Thank you!
