Jewish Law Symposium – Who Shall Judge?

Chabad of SE Morris County hosted the 4th Annual Jewish Law Symposium on September 30, 2009 in Morristown, NJ.  The Jewish Law Symposium is a project of Chabad of SE Morris County in New Jersey and provides forums to educate the NJ legal community in the timeless morals and ethics found in the Talmud.  The panelists dealt with questions on the topic of Who Shall Judge?.  This video was graciously donated by Rabbi Shalom Lubin of Chabad of SE Morris County.  For more information about Jewish events in the Morris County area, visit www.chabadcares.com.

Moderator: 

Raymond M. Brown is the co-host of the award winning New Jersey television show, Due Process.  The show is a weekly series on law and justice issues.  It has been received 75 Emmy nominations. 

Panelists:

Gary S. Stein is a U.S. attorney and former Associate Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court.  He serves as both a Trustee and as the Conservator of the Tropicana Casino and Resort in Atlantic City.  Justice Stein also served as an adjunct member of the faculty at Rutgers School of Law in Newark, NJ. 

Professor Sherman L. Cohen has been a professor at Georgetown Law Center since 1965.  He specializes in the fields of civil procedure, professional responsibility and legal issues of complementary, alternative and integrative medicine.  Among many other prestigious appointments, he serves as a member of The Jewish Council for the Aging.  

Rabbi Ronald Warburg serves as a dayan (judge) on the Beit Din of America.  He mediates and arbitrates on issues of Jewish law
